March 2025 Gloucester, VA Project

As always, we began this project with the customer’s storage goals in mind.

Our customer in Gloucester, VA, like hundreds of our other customers, was tired of having a chaotic and cluttered garage. Most of the things in the garage were seasonal holiday decorations, childhood keepsake bins, and things that they only needed to access a few times per year. They also needed to store things that they used every day, and it was important to not have to get on a ladder to get to these most frequently used items. The problem was that all of our customer’s “stuff” was scattered across the floor, making for dangerous tripping hazards and it was impossible to park a car in the garage.

Once we understood our customer’s storage needs, we designed a GorillaRaxx solution that maximized the overhead space for the bulky seasonal items. The ceiling racks were installed in the corner in an L-shape and designed to double stack standard size storage bins. While not intended for ultra-heavy items or things that you want most accessible, the ceiling racks are a safe and practical solution for light and medium weight bins that you can safely lift on the racks. This layout included a convenient “grab and go zone” below the first row of ceiling racks for items that needed to be most accessible.
